" Inspiration in the hidden beauty of nature "

"My works are born from dreams, emotions, and the inner visions I explore every day. I find inspiration in the hidden beauty of nature, in dreamlike landscapes, and in the worlds that take shape in my mind. Each painting is an emotional journey that invites reflection and a deeper connection with one’s inner self."

Veronica's Dream

"My dream is to bring a glimpse of light into the darkness."

"I truly believe that a small act of kindness or a moment of understanding, no matter how breef, can create ripples that touch countless lives.

A smile can lift the weight of a difficult day, a kind word can soothe a broken heart, and a simple gesture of compassion can restore hope in the world. In much the same way, my art carries the power to awaken emotions, spark reflections, and create an intimate connection between the viewer and the deeper truths of their own heart. It’s not just something to see; it’s something to feel, to experience in the quiet moments when life speaks softly to us.

"Imagine the transformation if we all committed to one daily act of kindness. The world would bloom with love and harmony, as even the smallest gesture can pierce the darkness and illuminate the path to a brighter, better world."

A glimpse of light shone through the darkness

"Veronica found a profound sense of purpose in her story..."

Veronica is 32 years old and was born in Südtirol (Italy) in 1992.
She grew up in a big family with seven siblings.

Her parents, who overcame many obstacles in life, influenced Veronica's mindset from an early age.

Her father, Francesco, lost both his parents when he was only 21 years old and decided to raise his four younger siblings.

Veronica’s mother, Rosvithe, grew up in a poor family, where basic things like water, food, and, the most important, love were often lacking.

Rosvithe’s life has been one of sacrifice since her childhood, with the constant fear of being worthless.

But Rosvithe and Francesco faced their traumas in an incredible and inspiring way... counting on unconditional love for each other and the faith.

They were able to see the world through a different lens and be a huge inspiration for Veronica.

Rosvithe and Francesco gave birth to eight children and managed to create a united family, giving them a unique outlook on life through faith and overcome pain using a different perspective.

Their journey, however, would soon be tested in the most unimaginable way. One night, their fourth son, Daniele, fell gravely ill. He was only 13 months old when he was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with fulminant meningitis. Doctors, with heavy hearts, told them to prepare for the worst.

Yet, in the midst of despair, a quiet miracle was unfolding. Unbeknownst to Rosvithe, she was carrying new life. Veronica was growing inside her, a silent promise of hope.

Veronica believes that her story and destiny began in that exact moment.

Daniele miraculously survived the disease and is today the greatest love and miracle of the whole family.

Against all odds, Daniele survived. He became the family’s greatest love, their living miracle. But survival came at a cost. His road ahead would be filled with challenges, his cries echoing through the walls of their home, filling Veronica’s childhood with both love and sorrow. She often felt powerless, too small to change the reality outside her door.

And so, she created her own world. Within the sanctuary of her little room, she discovered a place where pain could not reach her, a world woven from colors, imagination, and dreams. With each stroke of her pencil, she transformed sadness into something magical. Her drawings weren’t just an escape; they were proof that even in darkness, beauty could be born.

Her drawings became more than just an escape; they were a testament to her resilience and hope. As she sketched fairytale castles and enchanted gardens, she felt a sense of control and peace that eluded her in the real world. It was in these moments of creation that Veronica discovered her own strength and the boundless power of her dreams.

Growing up in Ortisei, surrounded by the breathtaking nature of the Dolomites, traditions, and animals, Veronica learned a fundamental truth: life is a balance of light and shadow, and sometimes, the most beautiful colors shine brightest in the dark.

Today, her art is a reflection of that belief. Every brushstroke carries the echoes of resilience, every color a reminder that even in the deepest night, light can find a way in.

Veronica strives to be what she was meant to be from the very beginning, a glimpse of light, just as she was for her parents in their darkest moment.

And perhaps you wonder, can a single spark really change something?

Remember: “Even the smallest glimpse of light can illuminate the darkest room.”

Art Critic

"After the specialization in graphic design, Veronica Caterisano approaches painting, gradually improve her innate talent for drawing.

Excellent portraitist and figurative painter the artist composes on his large canvases with different techniques, oil or mixed media technique colorful dream visions in which the female figure, woman, goddess or muse, is always represented in the presence of a creature of the forest or, more generally an animal.

Caterisano’s paintings opens a window to a fantasy world, a kind of mythical Pangea, lush and colorful in which the soul of human is in perfect harmony with a welcoming and reassuring natural and animal world.

Technical perfection, skillful use of the color palette and infinite creativity therefore to translate into painting the emotions, fantasies and secrets that are hidden behind the perfection of an absorbed and silent face."

Nicoletta Tamanini

"Veronica Caterisano’s painting features the most authentic characteristics of traditional figurative art. The artist focuses on the beauty of the face, which she depicts using various techniques and with great drawing mastery. She best expresses herself in her attention to detail, such as the reflection of light and the shading of volumes, thereby enhancing the sentimentality of the composition. However she also uses subjects taken from nature: animals, flowers, trees and generally speaking that vital, pristine world where the very essence of life is perceived."
